Jubilee Health and DTB Introduce Flexible Insurance Payment Option

(Nairobi) – Jubilee Health Insurance, in partnership with Diamond Trust Bank (DTB), has introduced a new digital payment system aimed at making health insurance more affordable and accessible. This system, known as “Lipa Polepole,” enables customers to pay their insurance premiums in flexible installments that align with their budgets, reducing the burden of upfront payments.

Njeri Jomo, the Chief Executive of Jubilee Health Insurance, described the initiative as a “game-changer” for the industry. “We understand that today’s customers need flexibility, convenience, and affordability. Our solution delivers all of these, allowing them to get the coverage they need without the burden of upfront payments. This milestone reflects our commitment to making healthcare accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation,” she said.

Under the new system, customers can complete their health insurance transactions through an online portal. The digital platform is designed to be user-friendly, allowing clients to purchase new policies or renew existing ones in just five simple steps. Customers can apply, select an installment plan, and receive instant approval, ensuring they are immediately covered.

The partnership between Jubilee and DTB leverages the bank’s financial infrastructure to manage installment payments, providing customers with a reliable and seamless payment experience. DTB’s support ensures that customers can confidently use the service without concerns about payment reliability or security.

Nasim Devji, the Group Chief Executive of DTB, expressed pride in the partnership, noting that the flexible payment option addresses the affordability challenge in health insurance. “We are proud to collaborate with Jubilee Health Insurance on this transformative solution, which directly addresses the challenge of affordability in health insurance. At DTB, we are committed to driving financial inclusion by offering flexible payment options that make it easier for more Kenyans to access essential healthcare services,” he said.

This innovation is expected to make health insurance more accessible to a larger segment of the population, particularly those who previously found the upfront cost prohibitive.
