Accor Launches New Novotel Hotel in Nairobi’s Westlands District

(Westlands) – International hotel group Accor has launched its first Novotel property in Nairobi, marking a significant step in expanding its presence in the East African market. Located in the Westlands area, the 347-room hotel is positioned just north of Nairobi’s central business district, approximately 20 minutes away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The Novotel Nairobi Westlands offers a wide range of amenities to cater to both business and leisure travelers. Notable features include a rooftop pool, a spa, and a fitness center. For those hosting events, the hotel boasts 13 meeting and event spaces, including a grand ballroom with a capacity of up to 100 people.

In terms of dining, the hotel offers four distinct food and beverage options. These include the Indian-inspired Trunk & Tandoor Gastro Bar located on the rooftop, Gemma’s Italian Kitchen & Bar, a pool bar, and the safari-themed Social Hub coffee lounge and bar in the hotel lobby.

Currently, the hotel is running a special opening offer of €143.25 per night, including breakfast. In addition, members of Accor’s ALL loyalty program can earn quadruple points for bookings made by November 24, 2024, for stays through January 12, 2025.

This new Novotel addition brings the total number of Accor hotels in Nairobi to seven, joining other properties such as the Pullman Nairobi Upper Hill, Mercure Nairobi Upper Hill, Fairmont The Norfolk, Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands, and the recently opened Gem Forest Hotel Nairobi – MGallery Collection.

Fabio Gonsalves, the General Manager of Novotel Nairobi Westlands, expressed excitement over the hotel’s debut in Nairobi. He highlighted the city’s unique blend of cultural heritage and modernity, aiming to create a space that suits both business travelers and families. Gonsalves noted, “Our goal is to create a welcoming space for business travelers and families alike, where quality moments lead to a more balanced life.” He added that the hotel provides flexible workspaces and relaxed dining options, designed to help guests unwind and connect in a vibrant atmosphere.
