ICT and Digital Economy Principal Secretary Eng. The delegation was led by Malaysian High Commissioner to Kenya, H.E. Amb. Ruzaimi Mohamad, and included Kenya’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, H.E. Amb. “The Malaysian business mission is a significant step towards enhancing bilateral trade and exploring digital export opportunities between our countries,” Tanui said.
The Malaysian delegation, on a business matching mission, is expected to tour Kenya’s Konza Technopolis and Equity Bank Limited to understand Kenya’s digital and financial ecosystems. These visits aim to deepen ties between Kenyan and Malaysian tech players.
The tech symposium, scheduled to take place at the Mövenpick Hotel in Nairobi, will feature leading Malaysian technology companies and key figures from Kenya’s tech industry. The event will provide a platform for discussions on innovation and partnerships, showcasing Kenya as a growing hub for digital transformation.
The symposium is organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Nairobi, the High Commission of Malaysia in Kenya, and Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, along with other ICT stakeholders.
