(Timboroa) – A truck carrying a tractor caused a traffic jam at Timboroa along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway on Sunday, November 17, 2024, after its container became dislodged, blocking one lane for about an hour.
The truck became stuck while pulling a container, and the container became dislodged from the main vehicle, blocking one of the lanes. As a result, motorists in both directions were forced to stop, leading to a significant snarl-up that lasted for about an hour.
The traffic jam began around noon, as the truck blocked one lane completely. The situation worsened when vehicles began overlapping, further obstructing the entire section of the road. Some passengers exited their vehicles to witness the situation firsthand, while others took the opportunity to assist in resolving the issue.
It took approximately one hour to clear the truck and its dislodged container, after which normal traffic flow was restored. However, the incident highlighted the challenges faced on the busy Eldoret-Nakuru highway, particularly during peak hours.
